Pricing

Free events are free. Actually free.

No card, no attendee limit, no trial clock. Paid tiers are coming and they are named below, but nothing on Takits can charge anybody today — there is no payment processing in the product yet.

What comes later

Written down so nobody is surprised by an invoice. Neither of these exists in the product today.

Phase 2 · from December 2026

Paid ticketing

A per-ticket platform fee

Organisers who sell tickets.

Money will settle to the organiser through a licensed processor, never into a Takits account. Free events stay free when this arrives — the fee applies to tickets that carry a price.

Phase 3 · from March 2027

Institution

Annual, quoted

Universities, associations and conference organisers.

Multi-session conferences, session-level attendance, abstract and awards review, accredited CPD exports, and member records that outlive the committee that ran the event.

Straight answers

Is the free tier a trial?

No. Free events are free on Takits with no time limit, no card and no attendee cap. The plan has never been to charge for an RSVP.

Can Takits charge my attendees today?

No. There is no payment processing in the product yet — no checkout, no card form, no payout. An event that needs money collected has to collect it the way it does now, and Takits handles the registration, the door and the report around it.

What happens to my data if I stop using it?

Export your attendees to CSV from any event, any time. Deletion requests go through the privacy page and are handled by a person, not a form that disappears.

Why is it free if it costs you money to run?

Because a show-rate number is only worth something once it has been measured across real events, and nobody pays to be the first test. Phase 2 is where the product starts earning, from organisers who are already taking money themselves.

Running something bigger?

Conferences, chapter-wide programmes, accredited training, or an association with years of member history to bring across — those are the Institution tier, and they are worth talking about before it ships rather than after.
